Widefoot was founded in 2014 by two friends with a shared appreciation for utilitarian design, high-quality materials, and construction methods that allow gear to last for generations. What began as a small project has grown into a team of three owners, but the principles that inspired Widefoot from the beginning continue to guide everything we do.

Our mission is to make innovative outdoor products that support active lifestyles. We design and manufacture all Widefoot hardware in the USA, mostly in Colorado. In 2024, Widefoot became 100% employee-owned. Today, the people who design our products, bend bottle cages, package orders, and answer your emails are the same people who own the company. That ownership is not symbolic. We share in the work and share in the outcome.

We are mindful of our footprint and continually explore new ways to reduce our environmental impact. We care deeply about the cycling community and strive to support independent bike shops in the United States and around the world through our wholesale partnerships. As designers and riders ourselves, we aim to create products we are proud to use every day.

For us, employee ownership was the natural next step. A company built around gear that lasts for generations should be built around people who can stay with the work long enough to make that promise true. Having a stake in the company means we care deeply about the quality of every product and the experience of every customer.
