What is the StoutCage?
The StoutCage is an adjustable mount stainless steel bottle cage made by Widefoot. The 7-slot mounting bracket lets you slide the cage up or down on the frame to clear bags, use taller bottles, and fit small frames.
What bottles fit the StoutCage?
Standard bike bottles, around 73mm (2-7/8") in diameter. Most cycling water bottles fall in this range. The StoutCage can also accommodate non-cycling bottles with its straight top.
How does the StoutCage's height adjustment work?
The cage has a 7-slot mounting bracket that bolts to your standard bottle bosses. Slide the cage to the position you want, tighten, and ride. Bikepackers use it to clear frame bags, small frames use it to fit bottles where space is tight.
Why is it called the StoutCage?
The cage is overbuilt for what a bottle cage needs to do. 100% stainless steel construction with oversized tube makes it heavier-duty than a typical cage, and a little heavier overall. The name comes from that heft and strength.

Every StoutCage is hand-bent and TIG-welded in Fort Collins, Colorado, USA. We've been making our products in the United States for 10+ years.
Is the StoutCage covered by a warranty?
Yes, every Widefoot-manufactured product, including the StoutCage, comes with a lifetime warranty. If anything breaks under normal use, we'll repair or replace it.

The cage is great. It can be adjusted much lower than a King cage I prevously puchased. Make it easy to get to the water bottle when you run a frame bag.
I didn’t need to fuss with this cage to achieve a perfectly snug fit. It’s light and strong.
